BugMeNot.com

Ever went searching for information only to be stopped by a wretched free registration page? What do you do? You don’t register. You go on searching for information somewhere else.

Well, divert no more.

Simply head over to bugmenot.com and type in the site you wish to login to. Example: www.thestar.com. As you can see, you get a number of results.

It’s real handy when you don’t want to register for sites you may only use once, to get some piece of information.

From what I gather, it’s perfectly legal provided you’re not using it on paysites.

Meebo.com

This particular discovery is from my good friend Eric. Meebo.com, currently still in Beta, offers a web-based, multi-platform integrated chat client.

I, myself, only use MSN, but i’ve taken to using Meebo in cyber cafes in Korea. It supports AIM, ICQ, GTalk, Jabber, Yahoo!Chat, and MSN. No install, no hassle.

The interface is just like having message windows on your desktop. You can move them around, minimize, maximize; add contacts. It’s got a nice uncluttered design a la google, and works without a hitch. It ain’t no replacement for a fully customized installation of Trillian, but is a good option for when you’re away from your own computer.

Pretty effin decent if you ask me. Thought you should know.
