My grandma used to always peel my apples for me. She often peeled apples over the sink and she always used a steak knife. For a long time, up until I was like, 8 or 9, steak knives were the only kinds of knives we had at our house. I used to butter toast with a spoon. I still do sometimes.

Anyways, whenever I used to watch her peel apples she’d always try her best to peel the skin all off in one long piece, and hold it up to show me because she knew I always got a kick out of it.
