November’s Almost Over

So how about some non-love-guns news for a change.

Honestly, there isn’t much to report. Michael Nelson, who used to live on the street behind me is coming to Korea next week and taking my job. Last night I went another one of Mimi’s dance performances. I brought along coworkers this time to see the show. Afterwards, we went to the Waegook Cook for one last drink and such before I leave for Canada.

I have this good friend I’ve made here, Mindy, or 민은 who I’ve grown to call big sister in Korean, especially when drunk. (Everyone in Korea calls any friend who is older than them self, big sister or big brother.) She did this funny impression of me involving her arms being out to her side like some strong manly man.

She said “It’s so funny. When Jason speaks English he seems so manly.”

Cue the strong manly man impression.

“He seems so tough, y’know? But when he speaks Korean to me, it’s really weird. His speech in Korean is like that of a girl.”

So I’m dainty when I speak Korean. I’ve gotta work on that.

In other news, I leave next Saturday December 9th at 630pm Seoul time, and arrive Saturday, December 9th, at 830pm, standard EST time. I get back that day I lost way back when I traveled from Canada to Korea.

This coming Saturday will be the last Love Guns show before our hiatus. I have ideas and plans for the new year when I get back to Korea. Craig is a phenomenal drummer, and I think we have good chemistry. So, I’ve got to give him reason (in the form great songs that he, too, can love) to stick around.

Other than that, things have been pretty straightforward over here.
