Dancing Girls
In any country, when you open a new business, there’s certain things you have to do. Register with the government, get capital, and such. Then you have the launch party ofcourse where you invite everyone you know to have a look around your new business and such. Sometimes you’ll receive gifts, not unlike housewarming gifts.
In Korea, when you open a new business, you celebrate with a balloon arch and a pair of dancing girls in front of speakers pumping dance music. Seriously. This is how EVERY new business starts in Korea. There’s never like a crowd or anything gathered. People just go about their business, but now they KNOW that there’s a new coffee shop, or clothing store, or restaurant there.
The picture isn’t the greatest, but it’s all I could get while at work. This is a new restaurant that opened across the street.
